Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact team sport that resembles other field sports like soccer and lacrosse and places the responsibility for fair play and sportsmanship on the players themselves. It is played on 70 x 40 yard field with two end zones. Teams of seven (7) players progress down the field by throwing a frisbee (no running with the disc!) and score by passing into the end zone. A typical game ends when one team scores 15 points.
The main tenet of ultimate is Spirit of the Game – a concept that requires all players to know the rules, make their own calls and constantly exhibit respect for their opponents. Character is an essential part of the game – what you see and what you say matters.
